We would like to offer a new professional development program to the members of ELSC in the form of a mentoring relationship with established business professionals in the county.

The mentoring program, entitled “Follow the Leader”, will pair up an ELSC member with an SCBP board member based on similar business interests and areas of learning. The areas of instruction are infinite and may include networking, selling, fostering business relationships, building an entrepreneurial venture, raising capital, etc.

The expectation is that the SCBP board member will offer the ELSC member insight that goes beyond the research they can find online. They will offer ELSC members personal experience and help them through their career path, supporting them over hurdles and celebrating their successes.

In offering such a program, we hope to continue the strong relationship between ELSC and SCBP and offer both the board members and the ELSC members a chance to go beyond the monthly seminars and experience a one-on-one experience designed specifically to their needs.
